Discover Dolls was launched in 2005, in response to the increasing market for making and collecting realistic baby dolls. The founder and owner, Catherine Read found that there was a lack of non web-bassed information in the UK about these baby dolls.
The focus of the magazine is generally on the increasingly popular arts of reborning and sculpting. It concentrates on showcasing new dolls, bringing information about doll artists to collectors, and on teaching new or would be artist and hobbyists the skills needed to begin both these artforms.
Discover Dolls magazine has received glowing feedback from readers, collectors and doll artists from across the globe. There is no other publication like this that is distributed in the US, so I went after bringing it here to avoid the unavoidable high shipping rates to have it shipped from the UK.
