Please take care of yourselves and your loved ones and STAY HEALTHY!
We have just received an email from Bountiful Baby and unfortunately they have canceled the Rose International Doll Show for 2020. They were considering moving it to a later date of this year but with all of the uncertainty and concern, they made the difficult decision to play it safe for all involved. After a lot of thought Bountiful Baby decided to do this at this time because they wanted to give their exhibitors, collectors and show particpants in general ample time to make the necessary arrangements for either cancellations, refunds or postponements. They are however planning their show in 2021 on July 7th-10th. Irresistables is sad but supports this difficult decision and for further questions, you can email them at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The factory in China is making progress. They are back at work but not at full staff. They are hoping to get some shipments out to us dealers in April but there will certainly still be delays. They are not accepting any new orders so for the artists that produce in China, there will be even more delays if their orders were not in prior to January 1st, 2020.
Our factories in Europe and the USA remain open and are operating at their normal capacities.
We know that there are many concerns and questions regarding how the new Coronavirus will impact our doll world. At Irresistables, most of our products are made in the USA, China and Europe. To date, the factories in the USA and Europe remain open and operating in their normal capacity. I have been assured that these factories are taking every precaution that is necessary including maintaining basic hand and respiratory hygiene as well as educating their employees with frequent meetings and reminders. This is also the case with us here at Irresistables in our warehouse. Our staff is well aware of the conditions out in the world and we provide every employee with antibacterial sanitizer on their desks as well as antibacterial soap in all of our bathrooms and kitchen area.
In regards to our products shipped from China, the main concern and question is:
Can you get the corona virus from packages or products shipped from China?
Health officials have said that there is no evidence to support the transmission of the new Coronavirus through imported goods. In general, because of poor survivability of these Coronaviruses on surfaces, there is a very low risk of spread from products or packaging that are shipped over a period of days or weeks because of the changing temperatures during transport. It typically takes at least three days for a package to get from China to the USA and according to USPS, UPS and FedEx the virus wouldn’t be able to survive long enough for it to be contagious.
Thank you for understanding and feel free to email us at email@example.com with any questions you might have!
